Jim and Sondra, the owners of Appearances Hair Color & Design Studio are a husband and wife team who took their dream of owning and operating a prestigious hair salon and made it a reality. 

We often joke that Jim is the "beauty" and I am the "brains" because Jim has worked behind the chair creating beautiful styles and colors for over 20 years, while I have mostly maintained the business end  to ensure that our clients and our team of stylists are happy.  I have recently (within the past 2 years) joined my husband on the cutting floor and I am absolutely LOVING it!   

We created Appearances Hair Color & Design Studio in 2003.  Jim's vision of an upbeat, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere was where it all began.  We started out small with two stylists, and slowly grew our family of stylists to include everyone you see on our experts page today.  I am extremely proud of our team because we are commited to creating an atmosphere of respect, professionalism, and authenticity which translates into a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for our clients and ourselves.  We truly enjoy coming to work everyday, having the opportunity to provide excellent service and create lasting relationships.
